Socrates - IVDD

This is a case of Socrates that has a diagnosis of intervertebral disc disease.  One or more intervertebral discs have herniated into or towards his spinal cord causing a paraplegia. Paraplegia is near paralysis but not quite so bad. 

Socrates is/was a candidate for spinal surgery but that option has been deferred so we started him on treatment with acupuncture and electroacupuncture.  In the videos below, he has had no sedation.

The files below are videos (AVI files) of his journey as of Dec 14 2009.  We hope to continue helping him.

We do not know if Socrates would have improved without acupuncture or not.
