No Description

Our radiology system is specially designed and programmed to achieve high quality radiographs using high frequency which means fewer repeat radiographs and reduced radiation and stress for the pet.

Processing the radiographs takes only 90 seconds.

We have special instrumentation for Dental Radiographs.

We can readily complete radiographs to evaluate hips for OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). OFA certification is completed until an animal is 24 months old.  However, prescreening is possible.

We recommend a hip XRay at 6 months for all dogs that will be greater than 40 pounds as an adult. The XRay allows us to make recommendation and predictions for your pets hip health.  We recommend this even for pets that are not to be used for breeding  We feel all responsible breeders sould screen for heritable defects before breeding an animal.

Notice the difference between the normal hips and the severely affected degenerative joint disease of hip dysplasia.

We can evaluate any soft or boney tissue.  We can evaluate for heart or lung disease.  We can evaluate for digestive problems.  Frequently we need 2 or more views to appreciate abnormal tissues. Cats are small enough that we may take cat-o-grams as scanning radiographs as in these films.

In other cases, the technique and beam will be focused on just a single part of the animal, for instance, just the chest or just the abdomen.  Other times we may focus just on the spine or on the skull.
